Accreditation

2021, 2023 – WSAC Degree Authorization Renewal Approved

Pacific Northwest Christian College is authorized by the Washington Student Achievement Council and meets the requirements and minimum educational standards established for degree-granting institutions under the Degree-Granting Institutions Act. This authorization is subject to periodic review and authorizes Pacific Northwest Christian College to offer specific degree programs. The Council may be contacted for a list of currently authorized programs. Authorization by the Council does not carry with it an endorsement by the Council of the institution or its programs. Any person desiring information about the requirements of the act or the applicability of those requirements to the institution may contact the Council at P.O. The transferability of credits earned at Pacific Northwest Christian College is at the discretion of the receiving college, university, or other educational institution. Students considering transferring to any institution should not assume that credits earned in any program of study at Pacific Northwest Christian College will be accepted by the receiving institution. Similarly, the ability of a degree, certificate, diploma, or other academic credential earned at Pacific Northwest Christian College to satisfy an admission requirement of another institution is at the discretion of the receiving institution. Accreditation does not guarantee credentials or credits earned at Pacific Northwest Christian College will be accepted by or transferred to another institution. To minimize the risk of having to repeat coursework, students should contact the receiving institution in advance for evaluation and determination of transferability of credits and/or acceptability of degrees, diplomas, or certificates earned.

2021 – Accredited Status Category I

Pacific Northwest Christian College is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) [15935 Forest Road, VA  24551;  Telephone:  (434) 525-9539;  email:  info@tracs.org], having been awarded Accredited Status as a Category I institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on April 12, 2021.  This status is effective for a period of five years.  TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDOE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

2019 – Federal Aid (FAFSA)

The postsecondary educational institution listed above, referred to hereafter as the “Institution,” and the United States Secretary of Education, referred to hereafter as the “Secretary” agree that the Institution may participate in those student financial assistance programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (Title IV, HEA Programs) indicated under this Agreement and further agrees that such participation is subject to the Institution’s compliance with the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. As used in this Agreement, the term “Department” refers to the U.S. Department of Education.

2018 – Candidacy Status Category I

2014 – VA Benefits

Pacific Northwest Christian College has been given approval of selected academic degree programs of study for the purposes of enrolling persons eligible to receive GI Bill® education benefits under Chapters 30, 32, 33, and 35, Title 38, U.S. Code and Chapter 1606, Title 10, U.S. Code. This reaffirmation follows an analysis of the Pacific Northwest Christian College 2019-2021 Catalog and supporting documents. Approval is retroactive to August 28, 2019. Reaffirmation of approval is issued under the provisions of Section 3676(b), Chapter 36, Title 38, U.S. Code. Pacific Northwest Christian College has been awarded Candidate Status as a Category I institution by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS).

2008 – Religious Exemption statement 

PNWCC has been granted Religious Exemption by the Washington State Student Achievement Council.  In order to achieve this Exemption, you must be a corporation, association, educational institution, society, school, college, university, or institution of learning must be organized for a religious purpose; hold itself out to the public as carrying out a religious purpose; engage in activity consistent with, and in furtherance of, that religious purpose; and either operate on a not-for-profit basis or present other strong evidence that its purpose is substantially religious.
